I love speaking about dictionaries, language, and words and am happy to talk with you about speaking to your group. I do not use a speakers bureau — go ahead and contact me directly.
Here are a few videos of talks I’ve given:

Erin, I viewed your TED talk just a little bit ago. Quite inspiring! Plus, I just found Wordnik, such an awesome idea. I really enjoy it, especially since I have been thinking about lexicography lately. With that, I was wondering if I could correspond with you about lexicography and any suggestions you have about it or ways to become involved, since I am still an undergraduate. Then, what ways to go about pursuing lexicography after my university studies. Have an awesome day, and thanks for inspiring and letting me know that it is okay to obsess over words and their meanings. Lol. Merry Christmas!
Erin, I view both of your talks on TED.com. It is an inspiration to me. I am beginning to study the meaning of the Chinese Characters. Very fascinating because that is my heritage. Wishing you the best in the coming New Year 2015!
From your TED Talk, here’s my submission
predophile —predator + pedophile
Love everything you do btw 🙂 Would love to know if we can Hurckle to the dictionary!! It’s when something hurts and tickles at the same time 🙂 (I sadly experience this a lot!)
Sure! Leave a definition here: https://www.wordnik.com/words/hurckle
